吴宇飞

1983年毕业于浙江大学土木工程学系、86年于同校获硕士学位,1994年获新加坡国立大学土木工程硕士学位,2002年获澳大利亚阿德莱德大学(University of Adelaide)博士学位。在中国、新加坡、和澳大利亚曾经长期从事职业结构工程设计超过10年,为澳大利亚和新西兰注册结构工程师。19891992曾任教于上海交通大学,20042015为香港城市大学建筑及土木工程系副教授和博士生导师,现为澳大利亚皇家墨尔本理工大学工程学院教授。主要教学和研究领域包括:钢筋混凝土结构、结构设计、复合结构、FRP结构、结构加固等。近年来发表论文200多篇,包括SCI检索期刊论文114篇(Google Scholar Hindex 31)。为若干结构新技术的唯一或第一发明人并拥有6项美国发明专利。



Abstract

Reinfced concrete has been invented f about two centuries is currently the most widely used structures. The design theies methods f reinfced concrete are relatively mature have been widely accepted in both practice the research community. Through years of teaching practicing in reinfced concrete, the speaker found that there exist problems in the fundamental RC they that can be further improved. This seminar repts the latest development in RC they, including 1) three mathematically derived theems that provide a better understing in the flexural behavi of RC members a useful tool f developing design equations f general RC structures including nonconventional ones, 2) unification of the stressstrain models f confined concrete, 3) a new shear test method that is used to identify shear strength components directly from test f the first time. The seminar features research methodology is suitable f research students. 


Biography of Yufei Wu

Yufei Wu is currently a Profess in Infrastructure Engineering Metro Chair in the School of Engineering at RMIT University in Australia. He received his BSc in 1983 MSc in 1986 from Zhejiang University, China. He received MEng in 1994 from National University of Singape completed his PhD in 2002 from the University of Adelaide, Australia. He has me than ten years of industry wking experience in structural engineering as a professional engineer in consulting firms in China, Singape Australia is a tered professional engineer of New Zeal Australia (FIEAust, CPEng, NER, MIPENZ). He wked in Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1989 to 1992 as a lecturer. Befe joining RMIT University, he was an Associate Profess in the Department of Architecture Civil Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. His teaching research involve concrete structures, structural design, composite structures, FRP structures structural rehabilitation. Profess Wu has published about 200 technical wks, including 114 SCI indexed journal papers with an H index of 31 (Google Scholar). He is the sole 1st named invent of numerous new structural technologies including six US patents.
